About Us
Kotori Kits was started in 2009 by two full-time mums, Katie Graves and Beverley O’Hara. After teaching our sceptical first-time-mother friends a few basic sewing skills, we were amazed at the positive response. We kept hearing about the pleasures of making things for their own children, even though most of them had previously not even sewn on a button. This inspired us to take our concept to a wider audience, and Kotori Kits was born. We soon realised that there was a demand for a wider range of sewing kits, and we are continuing to expand our product lines to meet this demand.
We've scoured the world to bring you what we consider to be the best in exclusive and highest quality fabrics, such as Japanese Kokka and lovely English vintage fabric. We believe in supporting a sustainable future and where possible we use natural, fair-trade or organic fabrics.
Although we specialise in sewing kits for adults, we have now expanded our range to include some children's kits. Having said this, most of our kits are also suitable for older children to make as all our instructions are designed for a beginner to follow.
